LaShunda Gardner, known as  "Shunda" (born in 1988) is a native of East Saint Louis, Illinois. She graduated from the University of St.Louis Missouri with a major in theatre and media studies. Her natural fascination with creating and performing at a young age pushed her to pursue her dream of acting. She has been in a plethora of stage plays. Her latest stage play premiered at The Black Repetory called (2018)“Torn Asunder”by Nikkole Salter. She played the lead “Hannah,” a once enslaved woman, who after the abolition of slavery went on a quest to find her husband and baby. She also starred in “The Wake up Call"(2016) stage play, "For Colored Girls (2014)” as the lady in green, and Juice Box Diaries (2015) to name a few.  

Seeking to transition to film, she briefly debut in “The Lost Treasure of Jesse James”(2018) directed by Adam Boster. Her start came from her comical lead role in a short web-series called “ My Dead Ex”(2015) on youtube, (sillymantv).  Shunda has also taken an interest in production as she was Assistant Director of “The Alienated Music Showcase” (2017) at The Blues Museum. She has also dabbled in modeling, interned for a local talk show and volunteered as a camera operator for mega church, Faith Church. Shunda has now launched her own blog/vlog branded “I AM YOU." It focuses on encouraging and inspiring others. Next stop is her youtube talk show.
